The HANA Goodwin Football League Was Launched
The HANA Goodwin Football League was launched on Sunday 22 January 2011 at the Goals Soccer Centre. Twelve teams from the diverse ethnic communities of the City of Hull and the East Riding are taking part in the league which is composed of two divisions. The teams that took part in the League are the following: Lokomotiv (Russian Community), Team GB, Poland, Dynamo (Russian Community), Kurdistan, Congo FC, Afghanistan Hull, Afghanistan Grimsby, Czech and Slovakian, Simba FC (Congo), South Sudan, GNG Hull (Sikh Temple).
Each team team was accompanied by members of their communities to encourageand support their favourite teams. The Goald Soccer Centre on Clough Road is the venue where the League will take place every Sunday from 12 noon. More teams are expected to join the League.
