Managing In Turbulent Times Training Workshop Was Successful

The 'Managing In Turbulent Times Training Worskhop Was Successful' with the attendance of members from community groups, social enterprises and other community organsations. The course brought together trustees, managers, community development workers and volunteers from different organisations accross the region to analyse the problems faced by the sector in these difficult economic times. Magda Read, Adrian Ashton, Linda Casserly and Shaun Sagar review the topics of managing people, financial management, operations and marketing in the context of the recession and the barriers to overcome for effective organisational performance.

Three HANA trustees and three staff attended the course. The training was a partnership development between HCDL and HANA. Magda Read, one of the co-ordinators of the training commented: "This is one of the best training sessions and one of the best groups we have worked with, and we believe that the points of view expressed today contributed to have a meaningful and successful day".
