Fundraising Plus

Finding and securing funding and resources is a constant challenge for voluntary and community organisations, and is particularly challenging for smaller organisations.

Fundraising Plus aims to increase the income-generating capacity of voluntary and community organisations on both banks of the Humber by offering funding advice, plus much more.

We do this by offering your organisation a free Health Check. This involves running through a structured set of questions about the governance, management and resources of your organisation. This can highlight issues that may hinder your organisation's efforts to acquire funds, or can point to opportunities your organisation may not have considered. Based on your health check, we can offer your organisation further support, information, training including funding searches and assistance with applications, or put you in touch with specialist help.

Fundraising Plus is a partnership between HANA and the four local CVS/Voluntary Action organisations.

Your organisation should contact the Fundraising Plus project that serves the area where you work, at one of the following:
  • Hull CVS Sarah Clinch () phone 01482 324474
  • VANL Gary Allen ()phone 01724 845155
  • ERVAS Fiona Turner () phone 01482 871077
  • VANEL Helen Howard () phone 01472 231123
For more information, or to ask for support for your organisation contact Jane Thompson, Fundraising Plus Coordinator at HANA, , phone 01482 491177, or 0787 2812994.

Fundraising Plus is funded for three years from July 2009 by the Big Lottery Fund through its BASIS 2 programme.

Fundraising Plus is one of three BASIS 2 projects. We work alongside:

  • MoneyMatters Plus, which offers information, training and assistance with financial management for voluntary and community organisations (contact Community Economic Regeneration Team (CERT) phone 01469 572313);
  • and RuralPartnerships Plus, which reaches out to the most isolated rural communities to ensure that they have access to information, support and networks. Rural Partnerships Plus is led by Humber and the Wolds Rural Community Council.
